Yamaha to Sell Custom-Made Drum Corps Instruments

BUENA PARK, Calif. — The Yamaha Band and Orchestral Division announces the sale of custom marching drums at the upcoming Drum Corps International World Championships, which will take place in Indianapolis on Aug. 5 to 8, 2009. This limited-time sale will offer custom-made drums, produced specifically for the world’s leading drum corps, for the first-time ever to the general public.

“Yamaha is thrilled to be able to bring this opportunity to the true drum corps fans during the DCI Championships,” says Troy Wollwage, percussion marketing manager. “Most of the featured drums have been custom-made for the greatest drum groups out there, and each comes with a custom color and chrome hardware.”

The drums will be available for purchase at the Yamaha booth at the DCI Championships at a first-come first-served basis given the limited quantities of the percussion.
