In celebration of Steve Gadd’s 70th birthday, Vic Firth Company is releasing a set of limited edition drum gear commemorating the legendary drummer. The set includes the Steve Gadd Padd, Signature Sticks and Wire Brush, all of which feature a commemorative logo.
Built to Gadd’s specifications, the Steve Gadd Padd features a 3/16’’-thick black silicone rubber surface, mounted to a round 8” non-skid wooden base.
The Signature Sticks have the same specifications as when they became Vic Firth Co.’s first signature sticks but feature a game-changing look and feel. Available with either wooden or nylon tips, the sticks have a new black finish with chrome logo, providing better grip and comfort as well as a distinct aesthetic.
The Steve Gadd Wire Brush features a unique bend to the wires, a specification that prevents them from snagging on playing surfaces and makes playing smoother.
Gadd has worked with a wide range of popular musicians including Simon & Garfunkel, Steely Dan, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Grover Washington Jr. and Chick Corea.
