Replay WGI Performances

Replay WGI Performances

By Janel Healy

Just in time for the 2008 regional season, WGI Sport of the Arts is creating rePLAY, an online video channel with full performances of all finalists in every class from select WGI regionals.

Streaming videos from these select percussion and color guard regional competitions will be posted less than a week after each event. If you are a subscriber, you can log on and watch a video as many times as you want, as often as you want.

WGI is offering the following two types of access:

• “rePLAY standard subscription” costs $35 for all rePLAY regional coverage, including full shows of all finalists from select color guard and percussion regionals.

• “rePLAY PLUS subscription” costs $69 for all rePLAY regional coverage plus four days of the 2008 World Championships webcast.

rePLAY will replace the free video clips from regionals that had been posted on wgi.org during previous seasons. According to marketing manager Bart Woodley, WGI set out to provide a service that would include a group’s entire performance, not just a portion. “We also wanted to include finalists from all classes compared to focusing solely on World Class, as we had in the past,” says Woodley in a press release.
