I Want to be on MTV

By Elizabeth Geli

Is your high school marching band ready for reality TV?

MTV News & Docs is developing a new show that will follow the lives of marching band students, both inside and outside of band. The show will chronicle rehearsals, halftime performances, competitions and fundraisers and how students balance these pressures along with school work and personal lives.

Producers are looking for interesting, diverse and outgoing students who are willing to share their lives and a proud school that is willing to open its doors.

MTV has a history of very successful high school reality shows such as “MADE,” “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County,” “Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County” and “The Paper,” which shows the journey of students competing to be editor-in-chief of their high school newspaper.
