DSI HydroPak

Bikers, hikers and sometimes runners use hydration systems that they carry on their backs. Now there’s a pack made specifically for marching members.

The HydroPak by Director’s Showcase International (DSI) increases the safety of marchers who rehearse for long hours or in hot conditions while also improving the productivity of practice. “From a performance standpoint, the director wants the kids to be out there as much as possible because they have them for a limited amount of time, but obviously from a safety standpoint, they have to be keeping the kids hydrated,” says Mike Murray, DSI’s vice president of operations. “This allows both of those needs to be met.”

Unlike other hydration packs, which can have a capacity of up to 4 liters of water, the HydroPak holds 2 liters. DSI purposefully designed the HydroPak to be smaller, so that the performer wouldn’t need to carry cumbersome amounts of water that would ultimately go unused. As Murray explains, the size “really provides the user with a good amount of water that will last them during a practice session without overly weighing them down.”

Another advantage of the HydroPak lies in its price. Unlike other packs that can cost upwards of $100, the HydroPak is currently available for $29.95.

The HydroPak can be purchased through any authorized DSI dealer. Visit dshowcase.com for more information.
