New DCI Downloads

Did you miss last year’s Drum Corps International World Championship performances? How about the third-place show from 1996?

If so, don’t worry—DCI recently announced a substantial expansion of its online media offerings, including video of the top three finals performances since 1990. This addition brings the video archive up-to-date as it now features the top three finishers in the DCI World Championships since 1974.

The new videos augment DCI’s Video Performance Downloads (VPD) collection, which debuted in July of 2007 with the 35 World Championship first-place performances from 1974 to 2005, but now includes nearly 100 videos.

VPDs are available as Quicktime/M4V files at normal resolution and can be easily transferred to a Video iPod or viewed onApple TV.

Visitors to dci.org can purchase video from the VPD collection for $5.49 or $4.49 for Fan Network Platinum Members. For more information or to visit DCI’s video collection, visit www.dci.org/media/downloads/video.cfm.
