Innovative Percussion Releases 25th Anniversary Models

Innovative Percussion 25th Anniversary models

To pay tribute to two of its most popular products and honor a key business milestone, Innovative Percussion debuted two 25th anniversary products in April 2018. They will be available only through the end of the year.

While similar to the original IP240 marimba mallets and IP-1 concert band snare drumsticks, the IP240-XXV and the IP-1-XXV feature darker finishes for a more “aesthetically-pleasing appearance,” says Nick Phillips, Innovative Percussion marketing manager.

The original IP240 is the company’s highest-selling product while the IP-1 was the company’s first drumstick.

“In designing these [anniversary] products, we wanted to make a couple of products that reflected our high-class image, … but yet use two of the products that are … our popular products,” Phillips says.

The 100-percent black wool yarn with hand-stitched teal accents on the IP240-XXV provides a warm tonality. The IP-1-XXV is built with a heavier and more dense laminated beech compared to hickory in the original.
