Bus Crash

A charter bus carrying the Channelview (Texas) High School Marching Band crashed into a 50-foot  ravine off I-10 in Alabama on Tuesday morning. The forty students and six adults were on their way home from Disney World, where they performed over the weekend.

Bus Driver Harry Caligone of First Class Tours was killed. As of Tuesday night one passenger remained in critical condition, five had major injuries, and the rest were all minor injuries.

It took nearly four hours for all the passengers to be removed from the ravine. Some were carried by first responders while other were pulled up on ropes or by personnel rappelling down.
