Blue Knights Hope to Replace Torched Van

Blue Knights Van

Press Release

DENVER, CO – The Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps recently found their support van had caught fire and is a complete loss. Fortunately, no one was injured when this happened but the Blue Knights are down a support vehicle and need to replace it fast.

A new support van is needed for this summer to transport staff, volunteers, make shopping trips, medical runs, propane replacement and more to make tour a success for Blue Knights members. All donations of $100 or more will receive a 18% Discount Code for the BKMarketplace.org online store.

The Blue Knights travel in excess of 10,000 miles each summer with an entourage in excess of 200 persons carried in 4 motor coach style buses. They need help to ensure we have full support with 2 support vans, 2 RVs, 2 semi-tractor trailer rigs and various other vehicles as needed.

While on tour the Blue Knights wow audiences with their class, precision and excellence as performers. It is through the development of this performance that the young men and women in the corps develop the skills and discipline that will transform them into incredible adults. These performances do not happen without an incredible effort during rehearsals led by a staff of designers and instructors that are amongst the best in the world. Behind the scenes it takes a herculean effort to provide a positive, healthy and safe environment that enables them to focus upon their performance.

Key to providing this experience is the “support team” of volunteers, drivers and administrative staff. Help make their lives easier by not having to be cramped into existing vehicles. Click  here for more information or to donate.
