“Music is about communication, creativity and cooperation; and by studying music in school, students have the opportunity to build on these skills, enrich their lives, and experience life from a new perspective.”–Bill Clinton, former President of the United States of America
Dear Sponsor:
The Santaluces Marching Chiefs band program needs your support! Santaluces High School considers our band program as a fundamental element to higher education. As winners of the FMBC Class 4A State Championship for the last two years, our program has received regional, statewide and national recognition for its outstanding performances.
In the past, our band has been invited to perform at such events as the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl, the Orange Bowl, and London, England to perform for the Queen. Unfortunately, we had to refuse those offers because it was too expensive to send the kids. Although we live in a middle-class community, more than 40% of our kid’s families are living below the poverty line.
This year, our Marching Chiefs have been personally selected by the Governors Office to perform at the 2007 National Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C. on July 4th. This invitation is a great honor since only a dozen or so bands throughout the entire United States are chosen to perform. We are inviting you to share in this great honor. We’re seeking financial support from you for our band program, so that they may experience this rare opportunity. You or your business’s contribution will help pay for travel expenses, lodging and meals.
We are seeking to raise $135,000 each year for our band program, and need an additional $90,000 in order to send them to this exciting parade. Your generous contribution will help impact the lives of these teens and help them take pride in themselves and their many accomplishments.
Please call today to make a donation: 561-432-9959 or visit our website at www.santalucesband.net.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
Ron Ritz
2006/2007 Band Booster President
P.S. Your generous donation helps our band program to enrich the lives of our children and our community. Show your support today!
