2018 Fall Circuit Recap

In November 2018, Carmel (Indiana) HS won its fifth Bands of America Grand National Championship, the third in a row. Carmel also swept the captions, receiving Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance, and Outstanding General Effect. Avon (Indiana) HS finished in second place, and Blue Springs (Missouri) HS finished in third.

At USBands, the following groups took home the national championship titles: in Open Class, Group I, Burlington (New Jersey) City HS; Group II, Shepherd Hill Regional HS from Dudley, Massachusetts; Group III, Calvert Hall College HS from Baltimore, Maryland; Group IV, Edison (New Jersey) HS; Group V, Dartmouth (Massachusetts) HS; Group VI, Norwalk (Connecticut) HS. USBands also held a Western Edition of its championships with Colleyville (Texas) Heritage HS named as Open Class, Group VI champion.

In Tournament of Bands, the Atlantic Coast Champions were as follows: in Open Class, Group 1, Biglerville (Pennsylvania) HS; Group 2, Huntingtown (Maryland) HS; Group 3, Liberty HS from Eldersburg, Maryland; and Group 4, Brick (New Jersey) Memorial HS; in Invitational/Class A, Group 1, Windber (Pennsylvania) Area HS; Group 2, Oakcrest HS from Mays Landing, New Jersey; Group 3, Mifflin County HS from Highland Park, Pennsylvania; and Group 4, Kingsway Regional HS from Woolwich Township, New Jersey.

For Calvacade of Bands, the championship title went to five Open Class and five A Class groups—Independence: Open, Cinnaminson (New Jersey) HS, and A, Dieruff HS from Allentown, Pennsylvania; American: Open, Whitehall (Pennsylvania) HS, and A, Shikellamy HS from Sunbury, Pennsylvania; Liberty: Open, Susquehannock HS from Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, and A, Northern York HS from Dillsburg, Pennsylvania; Yankee: Open, Hempfield HS from Landisville, Pennsylvania, and A, Upper Darby HS from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania; and Patriot: Open, Spring-Ford Area HS from Royersford, Pennsylvania, and A, Cumberland Valley HS from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
