Drum Corps Europe Reorganizes and Announces Championship Details

The European Drum Corps Association will continue under the name of DCE.

The board of DCE, the partners of DCE and the initiators Rob van Koningshoven and Bert van Maaren have come to a joint agreement to continue the European Drum Corps Association under the name of Drum Corps Europe. The new board of the Association recognizes the desired need of participants to have a voice in the way the European drum corps activity needs to develop.
We’re also happy to announce that the 2018 European Championships will be held in Kerkrade Saturday September 29th.

The registration period for the 2018 DCE European Championships has been closed. The following corps has registered:

Junior Class:

Diamond Cadets – Nienhagen – D

Unfortunately this edition will miss Beatrix and Jong Beatrix from Hilversum, Netherlands. The corps decided not to compete for a while and focus on paid performances. Due to lack of brass players, Unity from Bosson – Besana, Italy is not able to compete this season. Finally Jong Holland from Zwijndrecht, Netherlands, also decided not to compete this year.

Back on the field are Kadoudal from Quiberon, France, who celebrate their 10th anniversary and showband Calypso from Zwevegem, Belgium.

The Championships will be held in the Parkstad Limburg stadium, Kerkrade, on Saturday September 29th 2018. The timetable and program for the day will follow later this year.
