Michigan Uses Technology in Stunning Light-Up Halftime Show

The University of Michigan Marching Band celebrated the school’s third night game in history with a visually stunning light-up halftime show.

The technology used in the show is from PixMob, a wireless lighting technology company specializing in wearable devices for large groups and crowds. You may recognize their technology from the Sochi Winter Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies, and the 2014 Super Bowl Halftime Show with Bruno Mars.

The band posted on their Facebook page that the collaboration with PixMob was thanks to the generous support of the university athletic department. Michael Gaines Design wrote the drill.

Songs included Timber (Pitbull ft. Ke$ha), Best Day of my Life (American Authors), All of Me (John Legend), Talk Dirty to Me (Jason Derulo), and Edge of Glory (Lady Gaga). Michigan defeated Penn State 18-13.
