DSI Foldable Equipment Cart

A great equipment cart is a necessity for most marching programs to carry heavy tarps, speakers, and more. But sometimes traveling with the cart or storing it in the off-season brings on a new set of problems. The new foldable equipment cart from Director’s Showcase International folds in half for easy travel and storage.

“They can transport whatever they need as large or as heavy as a tarp and other equipment;  [then] they can take the handle off, fold [the cart] in half, and put it into the trunk of a compact car.” says Jeff Dyson, DSI’s vice president of marketing.

Designed with winter guards and other marching groups in mind, the aluminum cart is durable yet lightweight and has five non-marking wheels that won’t hurt a gym floor. The center wheel gives extra support to the base.

“If they’re going to go to a hardware or office supply store, they’re going to get something probably made of hard plastic,” Dyson says. “If you put a tarp on something plastic, it’s going to start to bow or crack and then the wheels dig into the floor as you drag it.”

The DSI cart is made of heavy-duty aluminum and six-ply treated plywood. Metal pins secure the cart in place when in use. Groups at finals of the Winter Guard Association of Southern California used the cart to come on and off the floor.

The foldable equipment cart is available through any authorized DSI retailer.
